Earlier this year, I saw an Instagram post about the Every Woman’s Marathon in Savannah, GA, and it checked my boxes: close to home, generous time cutoff, and supportive environment. So, I signed up. And then I realized how much time I would spend in training and became concerned that doing all this running would impact the time I spend writing.

But what if I wrote about running? Or running-related things? Or just wrote a weekly newsletter that let me just get some words on the metaphorical page?

It seemed like a good idea, my partner agreed, and here we are.
